U.S. Department of Transportation Announces new National online Dialogue on Environmental Justice and Transportation
The U.S. Department of Transportation is taking a fresh look at Environmental Justice to understand the challenges and opportunities to strengthen the environmental justice process. While this opportunity does not directly relate to ITS, it may still be of interest to transportation stakeholders.
Please join a national online conversation and share your ideas and experiences about:
- harmonizing policies across DOT’s Operating Administrations
- increasing public engagement/participation
- identifying good resources and tools for achieving environmental justice
- sharing promising practices across the country
- other great suggestions and ideas
The online dialogues are free and open to all and accessible 24 hours a day. Participants in the dialogues can submit, comment on and rate ideas interactively with colleagues, neighbors and friends from across the country, creating a national exchange of ideas and best practices in environmental justice across all modes of transportation.
