ITS and Safety ITS Architecture Trainings

The U.S. DOT offers training courses and workshops related to ITS Architecture, including:

  • ARC-IT Training: This web-based training provides ITS professionals with an introduction to the Architecture and acquaints students with the background, structure, and use of the architecture. Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to effectively navigate the website to find the ARC-IT content they need for their ITS architecture and project definition.
  • RAD-IT Training: This web-based training on the Regional Architecture Development tool for Intelligent Transportation (RAD-IT). RAD-IT is an interactive software program that assists transportation planners and system integrators in the development of regional and project architectures.

ITS and Safety ITS Standards Training Module — 101: Using ITS Standards: An Overview

This introductory module provides an overview of ITS standards for practicing transportation professionals and decision makers who are engaged in the deployment of ITS. This training will highlight the program, organizational benefits, costs of adaptation, and use of ITS Standards to support the deployment of interoperable systems.
